- acblunden2 said: I saw your post about your Japanese sticks. Not like you mangled your CP. The update you made consciously took preservation in mind while suiting preference. Had you mangled your CP and added like gun holsters (like in the post up on this page), then I can see the cause for ire. But you just installed sticks of your preference for your own personal collection; everything else kept the same. If you sold it, the next owner can easily add back in the Happ sticks if they so desire. Conscious choice without destruction is very different from conscious destruction.
- Not like you are an operator trying to squeeze some revenue out of your investment on site location. I didn’t see you doing something as egregious as drilling extra holes into a Joust cab’s CP. I don’t see MAME scrawled across the marquee header on your cab.
- Have you been in touch with boostin4hp? Any status on where he stands?
- boostin4hp did say he could produce a G1 Big Blue Panel with an Japanese Astro City layout. I have seen pics of streetlights’ panel and it is hacked to shit, no saving it. While not OG, an Astro City layout would be fine in a personal collection as a matter of preference. Click to expand…

- None of the custom BB marquee’s I swooped up from sellsellsell2000 were ever produced for the BB dimensions. Got a chance to dry fit them in one of my Big Blue cabs.
- Pics don’t do them justice because they look fucken spectacular!!!

- Looks awesome, sellsellsell2000 does great work. I have a Blast city set for Hyper Dyne Side Arms and it’s amazing.

- Weather has been in the 70’s all week. No clouds in the forecast for a while! Time to get some work on some of the arcade projects.
- Here is a SF2CE CPO that I picked up from Escapepod Online. The position decals are printed separately which I’ll apply later after I find where I put them. I really like the quality of this print. What I don’t like is that there is a blue-ish tint to it.
- Although I haven’t given business to these folks yet, seems Game on Grafix has the best repro’s for restoring an SF2CE Big Blue:
- CPO Marquee Side Art Bezel The bezel and marquee from Game on Grafix were used to restore this cab. You can see the marquee is framed correctly as the rails holding the marquee do not clip off the emblem at the top or the logo at the bottom. Bezel seems to be framed correctly as well. Also, the seller, jjohnston2004, told me he didn’t notice the blue-ish tint in what he received from Game on Grafix.
- If you have an actual OG Big Blue SF2CE CP, you should look into picking up your stuff from Game on Grafix and let us know how it goes particularly the CPO. I definitely will be picking up the marquee, bezel, and side art from them.

- Fear not, though, fellow purists, American parts have been returned to the panel. Click to expand…

- Not really complaining, but does anyone have issues with the pics from the OP? Mine are broken.

- sainrub said: Awesome thread! Was alot of fun to read all the discussions. I own a Big Blue and on mine there is no Q-Sound amp or speakers. Sports the same 8 ohm china branded speakers i’ve seen in your earlier pics. Has the same black adhesive oozing from the speaker mounts. All i can contribute is the label is still intact and shows that the model name is SSFA2 NQS. I imagine “NQS” might be abbreviated for No Q-Sound. Would be really terrific for someone from Dynamo or anybody for that matter to shed the details on the circumstances that lead to this decision. My guess is to cut costs for operators to buy a more no frills unit. Click to expand…

- DuffCon said: I wanted to dust this discussion off by stating that I have found another “NQS” (assumed “no Q-sound) example of a 2nd gen big blue. Here are some pics.
- Does anyone know if reproduction Control panels are going to happen? Mine is cracked all over; probably someone smashing it in frustration.
- Edit i notice that the serial examples of these NQS cabs seem to be low numbers. A previous poster’s pic was serial 17(?) mine is 106. Maybe lends some support to the idea that these were the first cabs before they did Q-sound? Click to expand…

- sfernandes said: Yours says SSFA2 NQS and it appears your model number is the same as mine yours is cut off but what’s left matches mine. Inside there should be another sticker on the side walls telling you the model number could you or anyone else here look to see if these model numbers corspond to what game was meant to be in them because my rear sticker is peeled off can’t see what it came with. Mine is also no Q- sound. Click to expand…

- Confirmed, my inside sticker has the same model number as outside. Also, the coin bin has “super street fighter 2” handwritten on it, which supports the idea that my big blue shipped with ssf2
