  • Yeah that street Fighter 3 tag was common for sf2 games because they were all told sf3 was coming after sf2 Hyper Fighting
  • Boy were they wrong (sf2 NC, sf2ST, sf Alpha 1,2,3, sf ex +1/2, then finally SF3 NG

  • I have at least 2 3koam serial numbers I think. Both MVS cabs. I don’t think my first gen big blue (3koam) has a serial.

  • I’m sorry, but I don’t have this cab anymore. I Can see if there’s a similar sticker on one of my others

  • My Big Blue arrived today and I’m happy to be part of the club, officially.
  • Couple questions though.
    1. Both sides have three hex screws. Is this normal/factory? I’ve been looking at other photos and haven’t seen any.
    1. There’s a large hole at the bottom of the left side that’s been covered with a black plastic disc. I looked inside the cabinet and there’s nothing there other than a bracket. Thoughts?
  • Looking forward to this project - should be a fun restoration.

  • jimbodeanny said: Ah. That makes sense - to allow for linking the two cabinets. Thanks! Not sure if I’ll leave that or patch it.
  • I did look at the hex screws and they don’t hold anything in place so I’m just going to pull them and patch them. Can’t wait to get going on this project. Planning to do a vLog series of videos like I did with Super Punch-Out. Click to expand…

  • jimbodeanny said: I certainly could. There’s enough blemishes, scratches, scuffs throughout to bother my OCD and justify doing some cosmetic work. I’m probably going to go the laminate route, but it’s easy enough to redrill the holes and keep the hex bolts in.
  • I was already planning on restoring this to a SSF2, and coincidentally I just glanced at the tag.

  • I noticed the Slam Masters tournament cabs in the flyer have white t-moulding and no black metal brackets on the edges of the control panels. And the control panel metal hinge is on the outside instead of inside the panel.
  • Anyone know if those cabs were actually released with the white t-moulding?
