- Has a big blue ever come out with a vertical monitor out of the factory?
- Generally speaking, do we know if a 1st gen big blue will fit inside a minivan? These measurements (https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=371673)
- say yes, but I’m wondering if anyone has done it.

- If you really want it, you will make that bad boy fit. If it doesn’t fit, bring extra straps and strap it in with the back door open and hope it doesn’t rain.

I’ll reach out to him tomorrow anyway and see where he is at with this. With the holidays and all, don’t think we’ll see this till 2018. Click to expand…

- So I got a hold of boostin4hp. The other member sent him the Gen 1 CP already, so he has/had a template for the reproduction effort. I have no idea how long it has been in his possession. I don’t have any input into the G1 effort any longer. He also has no ETA or est. price yet. I think I will ping him weekly just to keep things on point there.
- As for the G2 panel, I haven’t sent that to him. I may wait for the outcome of the G1 panel. But if I can get guarantees of exact turn around time, might make it happen sooner. Had a long text convo with him about it today. Now that the holidays are over and work has slowed down, I can put more effort into this to make it happen.
- Regarding the G2 panel’s OG design, there is a mounting plate for the joystick that lays flush with the top of the CP and alleviates the need for thru-panel bolts to fasten down the joysticks. (I hate those damn bolts actually. I always rub my knuckles on them on Dynamo cabs. I’ve had a friend cut open his hand on them before when one of those bolts wasn’t screwed down all the way.) The problem is that over time, these things will shift around with joystick movement and will ruin your art. I think I’ll work with boostin4ph for a different solution. Rather than cut a recess on the top for that mount to lay flush in, think we can figure something else on the bottom side to do the same. Attached is a pic of what I am talking about (boxed in yellow highlight). Let me know your thoughts on the a possible new solution.

- Anyone know the best place to pick up an accurate repro SF2CE marquee? My concern is that some of these repros are misaligned once mounted. The Capcom logo on the bottom is cut off and the insignia is not covered over by the retainer flange in these cases. Want to avoid that. Thanks!

- acblunden2 said: So here is what I am proposing. Check the crude drawing attached. So the joystick mount will be affixed to the underside of the control panel only. Rather than have screw holes go through the top of the CP and then be fastened from the underside once the joystick is mounted to the standing bolts, the solution allows for:
- No groove to be cut from the top; CPO art can just lay flat across the top.
- Will fit into the groove cut into the bottom
- Mounting plate is fastened to the CP via the outer flanges of the mounting plate, allowing for lots of rigidity
- The small sacrifice is that likely the height of the joysticks won’t be has high
- Groove cut through the bottom can’t go all the way through. Must be about 1/4 wood left, plus thickness of metal mounting plate.
- I think that is a worthy trade off. Also, depending on the stick you use, I think they sit a little high anyway.
