- I usually use the original formula for bonding two metals together (buy the big tubes, it goes fast) and the Steelstik for patching holes that are too small for a plug. Steelstik is an epoxy putty that is thick with metal shavings so it fills better and holds its shape, regular JB Weld is a traditional 2 part paste epoxy. I don’t use the quick setting stuff cause the original bonds better if you’re patient.
- I started using it after I had a mechanic fix the forklift at our company and he used JB weld to patch a hole in a part that was out of manufacture. I was skeptical, but it lasted for years. It’s good stuff!
- In areas of high stress I lay it on heavier. For areas like the bottom where someone put start buttons on mine I put it on thin since no one will be mashing on them. On really bad swiss cheese areas I’ve even put a small piece of sheet metal behind the patch or instead of the knockout so that there is more surface to bond to. It depends on how big the hole is and where it is.
- This is my Data East cab (the Kanye one!), the control panel had 6 extra button holes and a few bolt holes. After two passes of JB Weld and sanding it came out perfect. I just applied the Kung Fu Master CPO last night and it looks flawless - you could never tell there were patches.

- Picked up this bad boy. Just wanted to post the pics. “Show and Tell”. Is the marquee light set up like this from the factory? A couple house bulbs ?

- Yes, i believe sometimes the marquee light was a standard 2 bulb setup. Mine has a F18T8 florescent bulb.
- Very nice cab, just needs a bit of TLC. Looks like a factory COTA.

- I have the Lexan for that cab

- I have 3 of those cabs, all have the dual bulb. I’ve seen about 10 others, all have the dual bulb.

- I believe I have one of these Q-Sound cabs, and in particular if I am reading the first post right it might be the one, well listed as:
- “Games Most Appropriate For: X-Men: Cota, MSH, XvSF, Street Fighter Alpha 1-2, Darkstalkers, Night Warriors, Star Gladiator
- Comments: There are 6 different Q-sound cabinets. They are differentiated by the size of the marquees, size of the control panels, and whether the marquee is “attached” or “detached”. This first variation is attached marquee, normal-sized control panel.”
- I should take some pictures (as I have some questions about the whole, well what CPO it has), as its been converted to a Soul Edge and they like have the Marquee as that giant rectangular cardboard with the center cut out and a Soul Edge Marquee also cut to fit inside it, but anyway. A few questions that might have been answered here, but I digress
-
- Did they ever come in black?
-
- These were Dynamo made correct? I have a Dynamo HS-1 and its fucking heavy, but this thing, looks thinner and is a little shorter but I swear its heavier or its weight isn’t as centered as well but how heavy do the Qsounds tend to run?
-
- Some moron ripped out the bottom panel where the power supply is at (and also ripped out the whole back panel). So now its separate from the cab with dowels on both sides, would I need to disassemble the whole cab to get it back in?
-
- Related to 3, I believe that there is some separation on the right side from the cab pieces, probably related to the ripping out of the bottom panel. What is the best way to set the cab so it is more stable? I don’t want to damage the side by hammering it.
- (EDIT: for instance you can see the dowels on the front right side and if you look inside the cab, and I tested this in a garage, you can see light, sunlight in this case, bleed through the front bottom and bottom where the separation is)
- I feel like I need some pictures. But yeah

- no. But there is a very similar but completely unrelated style cab that did come in black.
-
- correct, manufactured by dynamo
- 3 & 4) pictures please
- Here are some pics of the damage at least (taken from a video, the cab is currently on the backburner as the monitor is also going out on the thing so its behind a couple cabs at the moment, will need to take better pics of its profile soon)

- It’s been a long time since I seen scans of Polaroids.
- Could you take a picture of the full cab?

- These photographs were obtained by using a video camera in 130% humidity
- Cropping the imagine to eliminate some of the moisture that the camera captured on the sides.
- Rendering at 1080p regardless.
- Playing back at 720p on a 1280X1024 computer. Using Print Screen on certain segments.
- Cropping some of that in order to make the image roughly 16x9 instead of 5X4
- Granted I suppose I should have just used the video, but points 1, 2 and 3 would still apply so I figured hey, lets have some fun with this
- TIME TO DIG OUT THE SHOVEL, I will find this cab
Measurements:
- 1280X1024
- 16x9
- 5X4

- The punisher came in black. As for what games are appropriate for the canbinet; I’m putting capcom games on it and getting some custom marquees for the ones that never had the giant marquee.

- So your cab isn’t a Big Blue. It is something else. As for the CPO, that is for X-Men COTA.
