  • Well. You can find a Q-Sound unit and wire that up. I don’t remember how it’s hooked up and can’t get to the back of my cabs right now, but I’m sure someone here is willing to take a picture.
  • Others who haven’t been able to locate a Q-Sound unit (or don’t want to pay for an original) have said they set up a basic amp (which supposedly is all the Q-Sound unit is) and wired that up as if it were the Q-Sound unit.
  • Or for now you can keep the speakers hooked up to the JAMMA harness for Mono-sound.
  • I think the question is where do YOU want to take this? I like the little extra push and stereo sound the Q-Sound amp creates for games that support it, but it’s not absolutely necessary to play games and some people claim it doesn’t make a huge difference.
  • Atari The Jedi said: So yes I found out it was a Gen 2, but they had just directly wired the speakers with Molex connectors to the wire harness even the Tekken 4 looks like it has some type of stereo hook up but they didn’t go that route everything just rides off the Jamma. All the Q sound stuff has been removed :-( what are your guys’s suggestion for making it either accusound or something else again? Click to expand…

  • Yeah I want to take this to the next level and I want to make it is OG as possible. I might get some different colored t molding or something. I’m still deciding on what type of Marquee I should put in

  • The thread continues. Grail #2 acquired. 1st gen Champ edition. This one converted to Xmen COTA. Kortek monitor in collapse. I can see bad pots on the remote. Interestingly also a 3-Koam sticker on the back. It’s been painted over, so I’ll try to goo-gone it for more info.

  • Ha! Turns out this is a virgin COTA boardset. Given the interact security stickers, this is a original battery!
  • Pulled it open and confirmed battery from 1993! Fully intact and still holding 3.6v. Seems a shame to retire, but you know.

  • Is there a current master dedicated large marquee list?
  • I see this from years ago:
  • SF2 CE
  • The Punisher
  • Captain Commando
  • X-Men:COTA
  • MSH
  • XvSF
  • SFA1
  • SFA2
  • Darkstalkers
  • Night Warriors
  • Alien vs Pred
  • Slam Masters
  • D&D ToD
  • D&D SoM
  • SSF2
  • SSF2T
  • Star Gladiators
  • And I know I have at least Puzzle Fighter as a large marquee as well but I want to say Cyberbots for sure and Eco Fighters maybe and possibly 19xx.

  • Gents, been mulling over My 1st gen big blue restore. I recently did a zback as a champion edition. I lucked into a 1st gen big blue and am trying to decide how to go with the resto. Technically the correct answer is champ but I’ve already got one now. Because the first gen has a cps2 harness I was thinking about transferring my Darksoft multi and making the cab a SFA2. my 2nd gen would just run a XMVSF board. That would be the “easiest” path.
  • Otherwise, its champ for the first gen and convert the zback to something else.
  • thoughts?

  • We had a Cyberbots one that we sold years ago and it was on test at Super Just Games in Northbrook, IL when I worked there…same with Eco Fighters

  • Sosage: I have that Hyper Fighting letterboxed one running at my location as we speak in a CPS1 cab

  • KidVidiot said: Yes from a few pages later in the thread we talked about some of those…Eco Fighters definitely had a big one, as did Puzzle Fighter, and it looks like Cyberbots too, as GGA has a pic of one and says it’s original. Click to expand…
